Client Issue

Miura Systems the Mobile Payment Specialist, one of the UK’s fastest growing companies, wanted thought leadership to drive its content marketing in the retail sector. By identifying insights in consumer and staff behaviours in-store, Miura was seeking to understand the opportunity for MPOS (mobile point of sale) services.


We worked closely with one of the leading payments experts Geoff Barraclough, and together we designed bespoke insights for Miura’s content marketing programme using a robust range of data sets and methodologies:

  • 2,000 nationally representative sample of UK shoppers
  • 300 sample of frontline store workers involved in 10 retail sectors
  • 10 executive interviews with senior managers leading major retailers
  • Segmentation of consumers
  • Modelling of the costs and benefits of Miura’s technology

Promoting the insights involved outbound email marketing, Google adword advertising, events, social media campaigns and internal database promotion.


The findings were brought to life in When Worlds Collide: Store staff and shoppers in retail today. The compelling research was included in infographics, independent market research reports and presentations fuelling an intensive content marketing campaign. Highlights of the campaign included over 700 downloads of the white paper from the Miura site. The retail insights and trends were presented at events and conferences to prospective and current clients. Overall, Bradley Eccleshare Director of Marketing at Miura Systems described the results of the marketing programme “The whitepaper has been a real success for us!”.
